Columbus is a living museum

The Columbus Museum of Art & Design connects Columbus non-profits with renowned creatives through a diverse advisory panel, and funds early design development and creative fees. Together, these efforts cultivate public projects that turn our city into a living museum honoring and evolving our established legacy.

Application Process

  1. Initial concept application from a nonprofit organization (or with a nonprofit as fiscal sponsor)

    • Applications accepted on a rolling basis

    • Apply here

  2. CMAD board reviews applications and votes

  3. For approved projects, CMAD refers to the Advisory Panel of professional artist & designers

  4. CMAD Advisory Panel reviews application content and recommends artists & designers who fit the project brief

  5. CMAD facilitates as a “matchmaker” between applicant and designer, supporting design development and creative fees
